VWIP Experience Elevate Owners and Prospects to Celebrity Status


In the news: Volkswagen of America. Inc. has recently announced that it will take its Volkswagen Important People or VWIP initiative a step further by providing two days of total VWIP Experience which is scheduled on February 16, 2007, Friday through Sunday, February 18, 2007.

The VWIP Experience creates a destination where Las Vegas guests can get a firsthand look into celebrity life while they cruise the Strip and visit the Fashion Show mall. Aside from that, Volkswagen will also make sure that guests are treated as star regardless of race. The VWIP Experience provides the automaker with a venue for communicating a direct message of respect, appreciation and value to the African-American and urban community.

According to Kenyatta Bynoe, Brand Marketing Manager at Volkswagen, Whether its having their picture taken by personal paparazzi, being pampered at the VWIP Experience Lounge, taking a million dollar joy ride or winning prizes, the goal is to create an environment where people find themselves completely engulfed in the VWIP Experience.

The million dollar joy ride is an important part of the VWIP Experience, it gives participants the chance to test drive a Touareg, one of Volkswagens luxury SUV. The test drive will be conducted on a dual course track located in the south parking deck of the Fashion Show mall. The uniquely designed driving course is designed to showcase the Touaregs on and off-road capabilities plus its high quality car components like the popular Volkswagen fuel pump.

After the test drive, participants can try their luck on a customized slot machine with prizes ranging from party tickets to iPod shuffles. Plus theres one very lucky participant that could win a grand prize of one million dollar. The other prizes that could be won include: an all-expense paid trip to 2008 All-Star weekend in New Orleans (consisting of two first class airline tickets, hotel accommodation, airport transfers, cash and tickets to spend on the game), customized VW First Act guitars, Apple TVs, Verizon chocolate V-Cast phones, VIP gift cards (like Louis Vuitton, Still) and other big ticket items.

All participants in the drive will also receive an all-access pass to the VWIP Experience Lounge which is a 1000 square foot custom designed day spa located within the Fashion Show mall. Participants are to receive royal treatment at the VWIP spa with services that includes complimentary manicures, massages, barber services and makeovers provided by experienced professionals. There will also be light refreshments, video games and music provided by celebrity guest DJs such as the legendary DJ Biz Markie. The VWIP Experience and million dollar joy ride are going to be open from 12 pm to 6 pm on February 16 through February 18.

Test driving the award winning Touareg let particpants to experience a world that embodies capability and luxury. The main message that Volkswagen would like to convey with its VWIP Experience event is that everyone should be given the opportunity to be treated like a VIP and get to enjoy the VIP lifestyle.

The VIP lifestyle is not complete without the paparazzi and so to complete the whole VWIP Experience a paparazzi service provided by Picture Marketing Inc. was employed. The paparazzi are to take candid photos of pedestrians thus treating them like the celebrities which precisely what the automaker wants.

All the photos are posted on the web and can be viewed by participants using a VWIP access card bearing a web address. The photos on the site can be both printed and shared with family and friends.

In addition, a VWIP Celebrity Shuttle service will also be provided throughout the weekend to take the participants to some of the most sought after celebrities and athletes in the business. The automaker will also sponsor and provide car service for two of the weekends hottest and heavily attended celebrity events: the National Basketball Players Associations Gala and the Kenny Smith All-Star Bash featuring the Celebrity Poker Tournament which is broadcasted live.
